Impossible fitness industry standards and why you don’t need them...

Public service announcement: you don’t have to look hot at the gym.

It’s not a requirement.

Matching outfit set, the perfect shoes, frizz-free pony with abs to match.

Angles and selfies, just enough sweat, but only in the right places…

On trend workouts with a fitness personality.

Skinny, smaller, longer, lean, even more lean, toned and tight.

Sexy.

Abs, arms, everything right.

Except it’s not.

You can feel hot working out, no matter where you’re at, what you’re wearing and how the reflection staring back at you in a mirror looks.

It doesn't happen when you get “abs.”

Visible ones aren’t even important overall.

It happens before that.

When you choose yourself and realize you are worthy.

You deserve to wake up every morning and feel your absolute physical best.

You don’t need the fitness industry.

All the stuff, the magazines, the podcasts, the celebrity trainers.

The methods, the classes, the cute lycra (although it does help)...

The only thing you need is to drown out the impossible standards we all face every day regarding our bodies...

To choose yourself, put in work every day no matter where you are at and let the rest burn.

There are no gurus, no magic workouts, no supplements that will do more than your own resolve, mind, body and spirit, every day.

It’s your responsibility to choose and not take the easy path.

This shit is hard and it should be.

Training builds resilience, self-worth and a body built to last.

Not just built for beauty.

Not built for impossible standards.

Unfollow and silence what keeps you from choosing yourself.

Stop climbing that hill and take the long road.

Fuck fitness.

Strength of mind, body and character…
